Biography: Ted Udall, hired by Sheldon Mayer as for the All-American Comics, National (DC)'s sister comic book line as an editor in 1940. From 1941 to 1942 (though his credits continued showing on comics dated 1943 and 1944), Udall worked as an assistant editor for All-American.
He enlisted into the United States Army on July 13, 1943, and when he returned (Per Bails in 1944?), worked as an associate editor until 1946.
Udall wrote comic and text stories during this time period, usually under one of the numerous aliases, and was credited by his Udall name by 1948. His last regular comic book work was known to be in 1950, though other work he did would be printed a few times thereafter into the 1960s.
Udall also wrote for Quality from 1941 to 1942 and worked for the Demby Studio in 1940.
