Biography:

Started out on C. W. Kahles' comic strip The Kelly Kids in 1924. Started a spin-off called The Kid Sister in 1927. Created Tim Tyler's Luck in 1928, which he continued until his death in 1984, when it was officially taken over by his son Bob, who had received co-credit sometime before and was probably doing most of the work by then. He also created a side strip, Curley Harper, in 1935.
