Biography: After attending Jamaica High School and four years at Grand Central School of Art, his first cartoon sale was to the old Life magazine when that publication was devoted to cartoons. He spent 36 months in the South Pacific with the Army where he also cartooned and did editorial work for Yank. Some years later, he created “Notes on the News”, an editorial cartoon distributed by the New York Herald Tribune Syndicate.
