Biography: Started as H-B Enterprises, founded by animation executives William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Re-named Hanna-Barbera Productions in 1960. Bought by Turner Broadcasting in 1991, transferred to Time Warner in 1996. After Hanna's death in 2001 the studio was made a part of other Time Warner subsidiaries and lost its independence. It is currently only used as a brand.
