Biography:

Al worked in comics as a penciler/inker from 1940 to 1949 for publishers such as Marvel (Atlas and Timely), Quality Comics, Fiction House, as well as Harvey Comics and Feature Comics. He is most commonly credited as Gabriele with one 'l' but there are art signatures from him using two 'l's. He co-created 'The Whizzer' (with Al Avison, 1941) and 'Miss America' (with Otto Binder, 1943).
