Biography:

Wim T. Schippers is a writer and conceptual artist linked to the Fluxus movement. He made his name in 1964 at the Scheveningen Festival-Fluxus (The Hague).
In 1966, with his friend Wim van der Linden, he produced the short film Tulips, one of the films shot at that time by avant-garde artists (cf. Claude Givaudan).
From then on, he imagined staggered sculptural installations, such as a large rectangular peanut butter surface, a church bell tower half submerged.
He also worked for television as a screenwriter, director, and actor: he is known for having produced some of the most controversial shows on Dutch television, from the 1960s to the 1990s.
He is also well-known to generations of Dutch audiences for dubbing the characters of Ernie and Kermit the Frog on Sesamstraat, the Dutch version of Sesame Street.
From 1976 to 1999, he worked alongside Theo van den Boogaard on the adventures of "Sjef van Oekel" (published in Dutch and translated into various other languages).
