Biography:

Joe Hardie was the co-owner, publisher, and editor for Centaur from 1938 to 1942. Hardie also wrote editorials for Centaur from 1938 to 1940. Prior to that work, Joe was an editor for Chesler's comic titles in 1937.

He also co-founded Hardie-Kelly with Raymond J. Kelly, which started in 1941 and continued to about 1958 publishing mostly cartoon and humor periodicals.
