Biography: John Lindermayer was a Golden Age comic book artist who worked from 1935 to 1940. In 1935-36 he did work for Malcolm Wheeler-Nicholson, where he wrote and drew "Oswald the Rabbit" and "Pelion and Ossa" in early issues of New Fun. In 1936, he went to work for the Harry "A" Chesler shop, working on various strips, mainly for Centaur, such as "Granny and her Pets", "His Highness", "Penny Aunty" and "Speed-a-way". He then moved to the Eisner-Iger shop where he produced work for Quality and Fox, such as "Denny Scott of the Bengal Tigers" and "Jack and Jill".
Notes: For many years the Hay and Kevin aliases were believed to belong to a creator named "Hay Kevin" (http://bailsprojects.com/bio.aspx?Name=KEVIN%2C+HAY) Researchers have never uncovered any evidence of such a person, and modern scholars believe these names to be aliases used by Lindermayer to disguise how many features he was responsible for in the first few issues of New Fun (DC, 1935).
