Stripper's Guide, "Ink-Slinger Profiles by Alex Jay: Bart Tumey" Monday, November 07, 2022, https://strippersguide.blogspot.com/2022/11/ink-slinger-profiles-by-alex-jay-bart.html

Notes: Bails' Who's Who had a second entry for Bart found here:
http://bailsprojects.com/bio.aspx?Name=BART
Note, in the above entry Bails suggests that one compare (cf) that artwork to Bart Tumey's work, but the only 1943 filler story from Holyoke with a Bart signature is a Toppy story in Blue Beetle (Holyoke, 1942 Series) #23 (July 1943) which later was accounted for in Tumey's own Who's Who entry.

Bails' Who's Who lists Tumey as being married to Janice Valleau. Alex Jay confirms that they were never married. Valleau was married to Edward H. Winkleman.

Jay mentions Tumey was married to Beulahbelle Hurd, whose first name was used for the primary female character in the Dan’l Flannel for Novelty Press that Tumey drew. They remained married until Tumey's death.

At one time in the past, artist Virginia Drury was confused with Janice Valleau and therefore Tumey was confused as being married to Drury as well. They were never married.
