Biography:

At age of 12, took private art lessons from illustrator Andrew Benson.

Had a reader submitted redesign for the superhero Robin's costume printed in The Batman Family (DC, 1975 Series) #13 (September 1977).

Received the Board of Control Visual Art Scholarship for Northern Michigan University.

Received numerous awards at various unknown juried art shows, first one known at local town and country art show. Two Blue Ribbon award winner for art contest at 1984 San Diego Comic-Con. Finished second in the art contest, Comic Art, at the 1985 San Diego Comic-Con.

Was represented by the Star*Reach Agency.

While working at DC Comics, did support work by doing his own lettering on his own artwork, from 1984 to 1985. He also did his own coloring on his own artwork, from 1989 to 1994.
