Notes: Painted the wraparound cover to Reader's Digest (The Reader's Digest Association, Inc., 1922 series) v43#260 (December 1943). Wraparound consisted of entire back cover and left side gutter on about 20% of the front cover. Signed "Lyman" on back cover.

The cover was popularly received with its World War II soldier and Christmas shepherd combined theme resulting in numerous positive letters to Reader's Digest.
